It is a bit of surprise that these two clubs are still in the competition at the stage and are fighting for a place in the finals. Both clubs deserved to be here on the account of their quarter finals performance. On Tuesday night at Anfield, Liverpool host AS Roma in match where the club’s leading scorer Mohamed Salah will face his former team for the first time since his switch to the English club last summer. Liverpool dumped English champions Manchester City out of the competition with victories home and away in the last round while Roma were value for money and deservedly book their place in the semis with a stunning 3-0 home win against one of the tournaments favorite Barcelona to level the scores 4-4 aggregate and qualified thanks to their away goal.
VERDICT – Liverpool haven’t lost in the Champions League this season while Roma have managed just one away win all season. There has been over 2.5 goals in seven of Liverpool’s last eight games in the Champions League. Roma have won their last three matches in all competition. We expect goals at Anfield

Will he make the difference again?

Two European heavyweights meet once again in the Champions League. This is the most played tie in UEFA competition (25 meetings) and the seventh time in the semifinal of this competition. Real Madrid eliminated Bayern Munich in the quarter finals of the competition last season winning both legs 6-3 on aggregate. Zinedine Zidane’s team are eyeing a third straight final and victory in this competition. The last team to win this competition thrice in a row was the Bayern Munich teams of 1974-76. Juup Heynckes won this tournament during his last spell as Bayern coach and has won the Champions League as Real Madrid coach in 1998. James Rodriguez will face his former teammates in this two legged encounter.
VERDICT – Bayern are undefeated in their last eight matches in the Champions League but they are facing Real Madrid who have won the last five encounters between these two sides scoring 13 goals and conceding four. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored seven goals in his last three appearances against Bayern. Could he prove to be difference maker? We expect both sides to score at the Allianz Arena.

When the Champions League anthem goes loud at Anfield and Allianz Arena on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, be ready for the best of European club football.
