Borussia Dortmund Vs Liverpool
This will be the fourth occasion that these two sides have met in a European fixture, with the previous history being even (one win for both sides and a draw). Dortmund failed to score in their last two European meetings with Liverpool; both in the 2001-02 Champions League group stages; 0-0 at home, 0-2 away.
The Germans have won all four of their Europa League matches in the knockout stages so far this season; 2-0 & 1-0 vs FC Porto and 3-0 and 2-1 vs Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool have conceded just six goals in their last 12 Europa League matches.

Sporting Braga Vs Shakhtar Donetsk
This will be the third competitive meeting between these two clubs in Europe – Shakhtar have won the previous two without conceding (both in the 2010-11 Champions League group stages).
This is the second time that Sporting Braga have reached the quarter final stage of the Europa League; the first being in 2010-11 where they eventually lost in the final to Porto.
This will be Shakhtar’s first quarter final appearance in a European competition since the 2010-11 Champions League (when they were knocked out by Barcelona). The Ukrainian side have won their last three European matches; their best run in Europe since March 2011 (five wins). Braga are unbeaten in all five of their Europa League home matches this season (W4 D1 L0).

Villarreal Vs Sparta Praha
This will be the first meeting in Europe between Villarreal and Sparta Prague. Villarreal have reached the quarter final stage of a European competition for the first time since 2010-11, when they reached the semis of the Europa League.
This is Sparta Prague’s first quarter final appearance in a European competition since 1992-93, when they were knocked out of the Cup Winners’ Cup by Parma. Sparta Prague last won a quarter-final tie in Europe back in 1972-73 (vs FC Schalke 04). Cédric Bakambu has scored four goals in four appearances at El Madrigal in the Europa League this season for Villarreal. They have scored in every one of their 14 European matches (incl. qualifiers) in 2015-16.
