It’s no longer news that the UEFA Champions League (UCL) quarterfinals draws have been made. Expectedly, the draws were loaded.
From an all-English pairing of Manchester City and Liverpool to a strangely familiar draw that will see Sevilla try to progress at the expense of a more experienced Bayern Munich, to the one everybody’s talking about: The Real Madrid vs. Juventus game.
It’ll be Real Madrid who will be traveling to Turin on April 3. The reversed fixture took place exactly 8 days after at the home ground of the Spanish giant.
Juventus vs. Real Madrid Match History
All things being equal, only the good old history between these two sides is enough justification to have some few words about this crucial encounter. Both teams have met a total of 19 times; Real Madrid recorded 9 wins, Juventus 8, and there were two draws.
Either Sides Chances of Progressing to the Semis of the 2017/2018 UCL
Character is important at this stage of the competition and Juventus have shown that. They were one goal down at Wembley before they stole two goals under 3 minutes and at that point sealed the game.
Juventus is a fighter. They’re subtle too. They’re calm and know what to do with the ball when it matters most. Put it simply, what Madrid couldn’t do, is what Juventus helped them to do: defeat Tottenham, see them off, and progressed at their expense.
Real Madrid is fearless. They are an experienced side too. They play with so much confidence and determination.
