Italian league leaders, Juventus are hanging on to top spot in the Serie A ahead of their trip to Milan for the Derby d’Italia game against Inter Milan with Napoli lurking, waiting for further slip ups. Arsene Wenger leads Arsenal to Old Trafford for the final time to face Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, and the battle for Champions League places in Ligue 1 gets more intriguing with Monaco, Lyon and Marseille fighting for the remaining two slots behind PSG.

We begin in France;

Lyon made in six wins in a row with a convincing display at Dijon last week. Les Gones need to keep winning with Marseille breathing down their neck in the race for the final Champions League spot in France. Lyon are a point behind second place Monaco as they welcome Nantes to the Groupama Stadium. Nantes are not good travelers and are currently on a five-game winless run in Ligue 1. Ranieri’s team are not in their best moment.

VERDICT – Lyon’a average goal per match in the league is 2.18 compared to Nantes 0.97 All eyes will be on the man of the moment Memphis Depay to deliver for the home side. Lyon have won their last four home league matches against Lyon scoring nine goals.

ANGERS v MARSEILLE – SUN. 29 APRIL 2018, 16.00HRS

VS

Marseille steamrolled Lille in a comfortable home win last weekend to keep the pressure on in the race for the final Champions League spot. Marseille have stuck to their attacking approach to games which has resulted in them scoring goals for fun. The home side need one more win to secure their Ligue status. Marseille have European distraction which could influence Rudi Garcia’s team selection for their trip to Raymond Kopa Stadium.

VERDICT – Marseille’s average goal in Ligue 1 is 2.12 compared to Angers 1.12. We are guarantee goals when these sides meet. We believe both sides will get on the score sheet.

In Italy;

INTER MILAN v JUVENTUS – SAT. 28 APRIL 2018, 19.45HRS

VS

All eyes will be on the Giuseppe Meazza stadium this weekend when Inter Milan host Juventus in the Derby d’Italia. There is all to play for in the derby with Juventus trying to hang on to top spot in the league while Inter are chasing down Lazio and Roma for a Champions League spot. Juventus suffered a shock defeat at home to Napoli in the league title decider. Juventus dropped five points in their last two league games and will have to turn it around before the title slips away from them.

VERDICT – Inter are undefeated in their last eight home league matches while Juventus are undefeated in their last 11 away league matches. Both sides could cancel each other out here.

FIORENTINA v NAPOLI – SUN. 29 APRIL 2018, 17.00HRS

VS

Napoli travel to Tuscany in high spirit after earning a deserved win at the Allianz Stadium against Juventus. Napoli fans are beginning to believe this could be their year to win the League title again after 28 years. Napoli need to keep winning and hope Juventus falter along the way for their Scudetto dream to be achieved. Fiorentina have lost their rhythm lately and are winless in their last three league matches but are still in the hunt for a Europa League spot.

VERDICT – Napoli are undefeated in their last nine visits to the Stadio Artemio Franchi. The Partenopei are undefeated in their last 30 away matches in the Serie A. Everything points to an away win.

In Germany;

HOFFENHEIM v HANNOVER 96 – FRI. 27 APRIL 2018, 19.30HRS

VS

Hoffenheim are unbeaten in their last eight Bundesliga matches, sitting just two points outside the Champions League zone. Their impressive victory at the Red Bull Arena gives credence to their current form. On the other hand, Hannover 96 lost to Bayern Munich last week but are still six points off the relegation play-off spot. Mathematically, they are not completely safe but are in a safe zone needing four points to confirm their Bundesliga status.

VERDICT – Hannover are one of the poor travelers in the Bundesliga winning just two in fifteen league matches away from home. Hoffenheim have won four games in a row in all competitions at home. They can put more pressure on Leverkusen in the race for the final Champions League spot. I expect the home side to go for it.

BAYER LEVERKUSEN v VFB STUTTGART – SAT. 28 APRIL 2018, 17.30HRS
View Game & Bet

VS

Leverkusen suffered a heavy defeat last week at Dortmund which puts them in a precarious position in the race for the final Champions League spot in Germany. By the time they host Stuttgart at the Bayer Arena, they may be out of the Champions League qualification zone if Hoffenheim win at home against Hannover 96. Leverkusen have to go hard to win this game in order to retain their place in the top-four with time running out for games in the league. Stuttgart all but confirmed their Bundesliga status with a win last week and can push for a European spot if they can earn what would be a surprise win at Leverkusen.

VERDICT – There has been over 2.5 goals at the Bayer Arena in the last 10 matches between Leverkusen and Stuttgart in all competitions. Stuttgart have won three of their last four away matches. We expect a good game with goals.

To Spain;

REAL MADRID v LEGANES – SAT. 28 APRIL 2018, 17.30HRS

VS

Zinedine Zidane and his team have put all their eggs in the Champions League basket in their bid to win the competition for the third time in a row. With the second leg of the semifinal against Bayern Munich around the corner, we can expect a much changed Real Madrid team on display at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday evening. Leganes travel to play their illustrious Madrid neighbors without fear having conquered the Bernabeu earlier in the season by dumping them out of the Copa competition. With La Liga safety already secured, Asier Garitano’s team should express themselves freely against a second string Madrid side.

VERDICT – Real Madrid have drawn their last two home games in La Liga. Leganes have lost their last five away league matches and conceded at least twice in each game. Real Madrid have scored in their last seven La Liga games. We expect goals – over 2.5 goals.

DEPORTIVO LA CORUNA v BARCELONA – SUN. 29 APRIL 2018, 19.45HRS
View Game & Bet

VS

Barcelona travel to Galician with knowledge that a victory will see them reclaim the League title. The Catalan giants face a Depor side fighting for their lives in La Liga. Clarence Seedorf’s team need at least nine out of a possible twelve remaining if they are to stand any chance of staying up. Barca will like to wrap the title up ahead of next week’s El Clasico at the Camp Nou.

VERDICT – Depor are unbeaten in their last four league matches (2W, 2D). The home side defeated Barcelona at the Riazor last season. Can they repeat the feat this season? Barcelona are undefeated in La Liga this season. Barca won the Copa del Rey in style last week thrashing Sevilla, surely, they can win the league in style this weekend.

To England;

WEST HAM UNITED v MANCHESTER CITY – SUN. 29 APRIL 2018, 14.15HRS
View Game & Bet

VS

The newly crowned English champions travel in style to the capital to face David Moyes West Ham. The Hammers are not mathematically safe in this year’s relegation battle but they sit six points above the red line with four games to go. City have won the league title but Pep Guardiola and his team are chasing all possible records (record number of points, record number of goals, etc) so they would go for it at the London stadium.

VERDICT – Manchester City have won their last five matches against West Ham in all competition and have won their last two visits to West Ham. In the last seven matches between West Ham and Man City in London, we have seen over 2.5 goals in each game.

MANCHESTER UNITED v ARSENAL – SUN. 29 APRIL 2018, 16.15HRS

VS

Arsene Wenger leads Arsenal to Old Trafford for the final time to face Jose Mourinho and Manchester United. The prospect of playing against Alexis Sanchez should have Arsenal players fired up when they take on the Red Devils on Sunday afternoon. Wenger has a poor record against Mourinho winning just two in 19 meets. This game is sandwiched between their Europa League semi-finals which could see Wenger rotate his team heavily. Nevertheless, this fixture which used to be one of the biggest in the English calendar never fails to live to disappoint.

VERDICT – Can Alexis Sanchez produce a match winning performance against his former team on Sunday? Manchester United can secure a top-four finish with a win at home. Arsenal’s away record in the Premier League this season has been awful with three wins in 16. Wenger will most likely prioritize the Europa League semi-finals over this game.

This wraps up our previews across the 5 major leagues in Europe. Keep playing, keep winning…
